I can usually source this poster. If you are interested please contact me. Greg"In 1895 lithography was the subject of a centennial exhibition, for which d'Alesi did a promotional poster. He chose a familiar theme, that of a smartly dressed lady looking at prints, but he drew more attention than usual to the prints themselves, giving enough detail so that we can identify the styles. The lady is a customer at an outdoor print booth, and one of the prints she is admiring include a large poster by Cheret. He obviously thought it most likely to draw crowds to the exhibition…The slightly sentimental quality of this poster suits the vernacular of this period. The poster was well enough admired to be included in the Maitre de l'Affiche series in 1897" (Wolfe 34)
