Red and blue dominate this multi-coloured design" (Rennert PAI-XIX, 457) "Rene Pean was a pupil of Cheret, working under him at the Chaix printing firm and this piece definitely reflects the master's influence. He specialized in theatre and cabaret posters from around 1890 to 1905.
